Avoid this store at all costs! They are all about the sale, even when they know what theyre selling is garbage. I purchased a bed for my son which included the bed frame with drawers beneath, a queen sized memory foam mattress, bunky board, mattress protector, and special memory foam pillow. I would not have chosen the foam mattress, but the sales lady pushed it hard, assuring me that it would be perfect and last much longer than a traditional spring mattress. I even had my son lay on their example mattress for almost 30 minutes to make sure that it would work for him. He loved it. I should have suspected something was up when the delivery guys were late and then had to leave without finishing because they forgot parts. Another guy showed up a few hours later (mind you I had to give up an entire day for this circus) and proceeded to work on the bed frame by himself. The saddest part is that I had to point out the mistakes he was making (he couldnt get the holes to line up because he had the pieces upside down). I can deal with that sort of thing annoyance isnt really that big of a deal. The problem is in the horrible mattress and bunky board. First, the bunky board should be just that, a board, but instead it was a bunch of cardboard with a couple of thin boards spaced 6 inches or so apart - absolute cheap garbage that I had to pay $70 for?!? Then theres the crummy memory foam mattress! Within two weeks my son was complaining about his back hurting (which weve had to see the doctor about a couple of times now). I called the store and was told to hang in there a couple more weeks because sometimes the foam mattresses needed to breathe and that my son probably wasnt used to sleeping on that type of mattress. Yeah, well, that helpful information was, I believe, a ploy to keep me from returning what the store knows is garbage in order to not have to refund my money. After a certain amount of time the store cant take it back and it becomes a warranty process with the manufacturer (way to stand behind your product Mattress Firm!). I started the warranty process which entails paying either $30 to do a self inspection or $50 for an inspector to come out to your home. I chose the self inspection because I was confident that I could show them the horrible mattress. Even after sending in pictures using their measuring tools and other pictures showing how the mattress dips like the Grand Canyon wherever you lay on it to the point of feeling the boards in the crummy bunky board (which all the cardboard has since squished into useless nothing), the company responded by telling me that it was within manufacturer standards! Seriously?!? I dont know what kind of bait and switch racket theyve got going on at that store, but dont for a second believe them when you try out a mattress in the store and think it will be as nice when it shows up late to your home. Go somewhere else if you want a good quality bed!
