Dr. King is an intuitive and patient Vet, we had a great experience as he actually took the time with our Pug and he loves animals its plain. Great sense of humor too which is valued in a doctor, and valuable too. The assistant (forgot her name) was taking snap shots, only to present us with our boy's framed photo at the end with his care package. Personally, it was hard for me to be here very long as there is (evidently an intended) aroma/perfume in the building, but I will be going back with our cat next visit as they have spot-on prices and personalized care. What a relief! Doc knew exactly what our boy needed and we are so glad we are on our way to a solution. Very clean and hospitable facilities too. Receptionists we saw in person, and when I've called are friendly and not in some mad rush to get the client off the phone.

As Good As I Had Heard From Everyone! I needed to make a change from my previous vet as they had become too big and busy to serve me in a personalized manner. I really liked the staff, the facility and the doctor at Lakewood. I recommend you all to everyone I meet.

We recently had our dog in for shots and would like to let you know how much we appreciated your thoroughness. All of the staff was great. Angie helped us with the doctor and she was great. Our kids loved the toy chest too!!! they still ask about going back there.

Very Helpful in Our Time of Need -Thank you! We have been traveling cross country with our two little dogs. While passing through Cour d' alene our littlest one Barney started yelping and acting very distressed. We were parked at the Taco Bell when this happened and this was right next to the Lakewood Animal Hospital. It was the evening and the hospital was closed but a man was weeding the flower garden next to the hospital and it turned out that it was Dr. King himself. He brought us in with Barney and figured out that he was passing a bladder stone that he was able to remove with a catheter. Barney immediately felt better. He found from examining the urine that there was infection with crystals. He sent us with medication and a special food until we could get back to see our regular veterinarian. He even researched and made us a list of animal hospitals along our travel route home in case another stone passed and Barney needed more care!!! A very kind doctor! Sharon S.

My dogs are my only "children". I have known Dr. Bruce since he first graduated from vet school 15 years ago. He treats me and my dogs with kindness and concern. We love him Thanks to all of you :)

Dr. King was recommended to me by several friends who are patients there. I found the experience to be overall very nice. He got down on the floor with my dog who is a pug and was even talking to her like a person. It ended up that she had a yeast infection in her feet and ears that had been making her itch for a long time. I had been told before that she licked her feet because she was bored! The foot licking went away totally with the medicine that he sent me to give. His secretary called me a week later to see how she was doing and to tell me that they had figured out I had been overcharged by $20 for my visit and were giving it back to me. I did not even know it until they let me know. That seemed very honest to me. I really liked everybody there and am going there again if anything should come up in the future.

I am so glad that I went to this hospital with my dog. Dr. King diagnosed my dog with diskospondylitis and treated her. She is totally better now. I had taken her to three other hospitals and had many tests done prior and she just kept getting worse. One doctor told me to just put her to sleep because she had cancer. Some of my friends told me that Dr. King would cost more but it was worth it to get a diagnosis rather than a wrong guess like the other 3 vets had given me! His office staff people were very nice to us and the facility was very clean and new.
