The Lighthouse Learning Center offers alternative educational programs in the Brazosport Independent School District. It provides several educational opportunities to meet students social and academic needs in a structured learning environment. The center s Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) serves at-risk students in grades 7 through 12 with long-term suspensions or assignments. It also offers Project G.R.O.W. for students in grades one through six. The Lighthouse Learning Center conducts orientation classes and offers the Student Accelerated Instruction and Learning program. In addition, it offers home instruction and other support services to pregnant students during their pregnancy, prenatal and postpartum stages. The center provides instruction in a variety of academic courses, such as science, language arts, reading, math and social studies. It also conducts keyboarding, multimedia, desktop publishing and accounting classes. The Lighthouse Learning Center is located in Clute, Texas.
