  Community Memorial Hospital offers a full range of medical services, including general and orthopedic surgery, women’s health services, an outpatient specialty clinic with visiting specialists, and an extensive educational program for individuals with specific health conditions.   If hip replacement surgery is determined to be the best course of treatment, Dr Lemker is now offering anterior hip arthroplasty–with an incision in the front of the hip instead of the side. This minimally invasive technique preserves tissue integrity and improves recovery by allowing earlier mobility.

  Knee replacement surgery may be the solution you’ve been waiting for. It is designed to treat pain and disability in the knee so patients can live healthy, active lives. When you visit with an orthopedic surgeon at CMH, we will review your medical history and examine your knee pain.

• Physical Therapy
  For Treatment: We may use your health information to provide you with treatment or services. We may disclose health information about you to doctors, nurses, technicians, students, or other facility personnel who are involved in your care. For example, a doctor treating you may need to know your surgical history to provide quality care. Various services may share health information about you in order to coordinate the care you may need such as lab, x-rays, physical therapy, prescriptions, meals, etc. We may also provide your physician or a subsequent healthcare provider with copies of various reports to assist him or her in treating you.
• Occupational Therapy
  The Minnesota Department of Health calls Sunnyside’s Life Engagement Program “excellent and outstanding†—well beyond what is offered in many other facilities. Our licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA/L) view each resident as an individual with many needs outside of their physical care, and they adapt to each person’s unique abilities.
