George R. Carter Middle School offers a wide range of academic and co-curricular programs to students. It serves the educational needs of more than 1,100 students in grades five through eight. The school has several clubs and organizations, such as Book Bowl, Inventor, the Students Against Destructive Decision and drama club. It also organizes special programs that include classes for students with physical and mental disabilities. It organizes after-school and preschool programs for assisting students in homework. The school provides various subjects, including language and fine arts, mathematics, science, social studies, government and physical education. It additionally organizes a variety of sports tournaments, writing and reading assessment programs, and speech and debate competitions. The school is located in Clio, Mich., and is operated by the Clio Area School District.
