Imago Dei Village is a camp located on Long Lake, half way between Clintonville and Shawano, Wis. The camp rests on a hill at the southwest end of the lake. A number of facilities are available for winter conferences and retreats, including four chalets, the Woodlands Center and Long Lake Gathering in the Village Center. The Woodlands Center provides groups with excellent meeting, dining, and lodging accommodations. It includes a large entry with registration desk, skylights, and lounge space. The large Woodview meeting room is capable of serving 80 guests. The Lakeside room, which overlooks Long Lake, accommodates up to 30 people. The facility has two fireplace areas, a conference room, game room, public phone, bathrooms and an expansive deck and outdoor area. Imago Dei Village, which is a part of Crossways Camping Ministries, was established in 1949 by the men s group of the former American Lutheran Church. The camp offers seasonal activities, such as outdoor volleyball, basketball, field games and hiking trails. For more than 50 years, Imago Dei Village has been a second home to hundreds of youths and families during the summer season.
