Established in 1879, the Clintonville Police Department preserves peace, reduces fear and provides a safe environment through the enforcement of local, state and federal laws. It employs more than 20 full- and part-time officers and dispatchers. The department provides fingerprinting and bicycle patrol services. The Clintonville Police Department also offers home security surveys, vacation house checks and vehicle lockout services. Its animal control unit provides pet licensing services and deals with animal nuisance complaints. The department conducts neighborhood watch and Crime Stoppers programs, as well as files complaints against suspicious criminal activities.
