Head Start is one of the programs operated by Macomb County Community Services Agency that serves children of ages 3 and 4. It is a free preschool program for children of low-income families. The program offers various recreational activities, such as paint, glue, and sand and water plays. It provides nutritional, health care and speech therapy services. Head Start offers parenting education and early childhood development programs. It features classrooms that have a variety of educational toys and materials. In addition, the program provides mental health and behavioral care services. Head Start also organizes music, journaling, gross motor and literacy activities. It is operated from Clinton Township, Mich.
