My family and I had been traveling through Smokey Mountain and touring through Tennessee when we came apon this place it was late we were tired and hungry. We went to bed and woke up to find we had been sleeping in a bed infested with bed bugs. Always make sure you check your bed. The owners acted as though they had no idea that they had bed bugs but I guarantee they had to know because there were so many in our bed and after searching for reviews it was obvious they never took care of the problem, we filled the bottom of a plastic cup (provided by room) with these bugs.

This is NOT the place to stay if you are looking for a CLEAN room. The sign at the front says clean rooms, however, their idea of clean is vastly different than most people's. We requested a non-smoking room - when we got home the next day we had to rewash all our clothing to get the smell of stale tobacco smoke out. The owner/operator did not go out of his way to be any help,in fact it seemed that I was intruding when I showed up in the "lobby". The whole place is old and IT SHOWS. Cigarette burns on the furniture,stains on the upholstered furniture,a ceiling that was white a long time ago (non-smoking??), seams in the bathroom walls that were not clean (Tan stains) and the overpowering smell of stale cigarette smoke. If you are going to have your picture in the "lobby" touting how good a job you are doing -at least make an effort to clean up what was once an OK motel. Unfortunately we were exhausted and did not move to another place -BIG MISTAKE- DON'T STAY HERE
