In 2004, Laird Technologies acquired Thermagon. Laird merged Thermagon with Orcus, and the company now offers Thermaphase on Kapton 52C, Thermaphase Free Standing Film 52C and Thermaphase on Aluminum Foil 52C. Thermagon has grown to become a global solution provider and the material of choice for some computer systems, power conversion equipment, telecommunications hardware, entertainment products and automotive electronics. In some cases, thermal management is a design afterthought, but more companies are realizing its inherent importance. As a result, thermal management offered by Thermagon is being discussed at the earliest stages of development and is becoming a part of the overall design process.
