Kendis and Assoc. Co., L.P.A. is a firm dedicated to the representation of workers who have sustained injuries and disabilities. This dedication to the helping of others was the goal of Allyn D. Kendis (1910-2000), the founder, who started practicing law in 1933. Limiting his practice to Workers’ Compensation, Allyn Kendis was a pioneer in working with injured claimants and aiding them in getting benefits for injuries and occupational diseases. Over the years additional areas of law related to this same goal were added to the firm’s practice. Now the attorneys of Kendis and Associates aid clients with matters ranging from industrial injuries, occupational diseases, amputations and safety violations to Social Security Disability, Supplemental Security Income, Veterans Disability and Federal Workers’ Compensation. Kendis and Assoc. Co., L.P.A. moved to its present location on the fifteenth floor of the Rockefeller Building in 1985. The firm is now made up of seven attorneys who will dedicate themselves to the original goal of aiding the injured and the disabled in obtaining the benefits and rights to which they are entitled under the law. Sons, James D. Kendis and Robert D. Kendis, joined their father in the 1960 and currently lead the firm. Presently Kendis and Associates Co., L.P.A. is made up of James D. Kendis, Robert D. Kendis, Sheldon E. Baskin, Carl J. Stanek, Georgia L. Eckstein, Sheldon E. Braverman and Jeffrey A. Karson. Together with a support staff of twenty-five dedicated employees, Kendis and Associates Co., L.P.A has helped tens of thousands of injured and disability claimants over the years.
