Allen Sugar Company, located in Cleveland, makes sugar and sugar compounds for manufacturers and grocers. Allen Sugar is a subsidiary of Pierre s Ice Cream Company, which is also located in Cleveland. Pierre s Ice Cream, in business since 1932, distributes ice cream, frozen yogurt, frozen, custard and sorbet to retailers in Ohio and its contiguous states, including western Pennsylvania, western New York, southern Michigan, eastern Indiana, northern Kentucky and West Virginia. Pierre's products are also featured in selected accounts throughout the Midwest and eastern parts of the United States.
