Texas Lime Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of United States Lime & Minerals. The organization manufactures lime and limestone products from high-purity calcium limestone deposits and services markets in the southwestern and south central United States. Its products are used for the construction of highways, streets and parking lots; steel, paper and chemicals manufacturing; and in environmental applications that include purifying drinking water, municipal sanitation and the scrubbing of flue gases from fossil fuel boilers. Texas Lime Company s pulverized limestone is used primarily in the production of roofing shingles. Lime and limestone are also utilized in agriculture as soil treatments to correct acidity and as a component of animal feed.
