STUART S. GOLDING COMPANY Founded more than 40 years ago, Stuart S. Golding Company has been involved in the development, leasing, management, and ownership of retail and office sites for its own portfolio and third parties ever since. With a commitment to high quality value-add opportunities, personal attention to detail, and premium locations, the company has built a reputation for excellence. The current ownership has developed more than twenty-five projects constituting more than 4, 000, 000 square feet. Their projects have ranged from national grocery anchored neighborhood centers to enclosed two-level malls. In the last decade, the Company has become increasingly involved with the development of medical and professional office space, working closely with Tampa Bay area physicians and government entities. Loren first joined Stuart S. Golding Company in 1964 and has been associated with the organization since that time. When the firm was acquired by U.S. Home Corporation, it became known as U.S.H. Properties Corporation and served as the commercial division. Mr. Pollack became the President of U.S.H. Properties Corporation until 1975, when Mr. Pollack and Mr. Golding left to re-form Stuart S. Golding Company. Mr. Pollack has held the role of owner and president since that time. David Scher is the Co Owner and is involved in all aspects of business Stuart S. Golding Company. Mr. Scher is a qualified chartered accountant ( England ). He has worked for various senior financial positions for major Canadian Corporations. In 1987, Mr. Scher founded Major Video Canada, which subsequently became Blockbuster Canada. He expanded the chain to 41 stores by the end of 1989. During his term as President of the company, he selected all site locations and negotiated all store leases. In 1989, Mr. Scher left Canada to join Stuart S. Golding Company as co-owner of the family business. He has been involved with retail land office project development and redevelopment since joining. He has also been involved with urban in-fill projects within the City of Tampa, as well as a new urbanism project by Andres Duanny, in Santa Fe, NM.
