Headquartered in Clearlake, Calif., Adventist Health is a nonprofit organization operating a family of health care systems, and home care services affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist church. The company operates health care facilities throughout California, Hawaii, Oregon and Washington. Its system includes more than 20 hospitals with over 3,000 beds, clinics and outpatient facilities, nearly 15 home care agencies and joint venture retirement centers. Its home care agencies provide a host of services ranging from home infusion therapy to hospice to home medical equipment, and joint venture retirement centers offer seniors various independent and assisted living options. It also offers a parish nurse program to provide health education and counseling, facilitate support groups and train volunteers. Its hospitals are full-service medical centers and specialize in surgery, cardiology, neurosurgery, mental health, obstetrics, orthopedics, outpatient rehabilitation and primary care services.
