Algonquin Middle School is a learning center that provides education in a range of subjects, such as math, science, reading and Spanish. It also provides computer and technology education and conducts special education programs. The school enrolls students in grades six through eight. Its library and media center provides a variety of reference and curriculum-related books. The school also has a counseling division that offers academic and personal guidance. It is a part of Algonac Community Schools, which operates various elementary, middle and high schools. The district offers a variety of sport activities, such as football, basketball, golf, cross country, tennis, swimming, soccer, and track and field. Algonquin Middle School is affiliated with the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement.
