River Hill High School, located in Clarksville, Md., offers an extensive curriculum for students in grades nine through 12. The school has an enrollment of more than 1,200 students and is affiliated with Howard County Public School System. It offers a wide range of courses, including English, literature, foreign language, mathematics, algebra, statistics, geometry, trigonometry, business and computer science, physics, chemistry, social studies, fine and media arts, music, technical magnet program home economics and health and physical education classes. It also has various clubs and organizations, including archeology, broadcasting, chess, ecology and film clubs, Red Cross, band, cheerleading squad, debate team, Future Business Leaders of America, Future Educators of America, Maryland Technological Honor Society, the National Honor Society, the National Art Honor Society and the Amnesty International. River Hill High School also offers a variety of sports and athletics activities that include basketball, volleyball, football, softball, wrestling and cross country.
