This place is a dump I would not send my worst enemy's sick dog there. it is always dirty the nursing care is poor and that is not due to the nurses lack of trying but that there ration for nurse to resident is crazy. residents are left in wet beds and pads due to trying to cut back on cost. has a severe bug problem. Offers no quality of life for the residents it is very sad

I have seen red ants in my moms room before in a crack on the floor where they were coming out. It took 4 times of me telling the nurses station to do something about it. The only reason I let my mom stay there is for the convenience for her older sister to visit her. I had seen urine stains on the bed that were there for a couple of days and had to say something. I took my mom home for a weekend and put her on her bed and again the sheets had not been changed, the nurse apologized and had them changed right away. I found human feces in the sink and on the floor from some woman who used my moms bath room then went out of the room. That place is not as kosher as you think it is. There are some nice staff and then there are so not so nice staff toward me , because I see too much and they do not like it. Shame I have to give one star, but then there are a few good people there. So that star is for the few.

My grandmother has been at Elmwood for the last month in the rehabilitation area of the center. This is her fourth visit and we are beyond pleased and overwhelmed by the love, care, support and guidance we have received. Through this final stage of her life, my grandmother was surrounded by the support and generosity of the staff. Staying and contributing beyond their call of duty and personally guiding my family through this process. Our experience was more than we could have wanted for our grandmother. Clean, committed and respectful in their care. Check-ins every 15 minutes and regular words of comfort, the staff is amazing. We would recommend this center with beyond 5 stars. We were able to share in my grandmothers comfort combining two beds to allow me to lie by my grandmother's side day and night.
This PLACE does not diagnose patients. The patients come to this facility with a diagnosis already by their DR! If you feel so badly about this place YOU and your family member have the option of leaving this facility and going elsewhere. I have been there MANY times and have never smelt feces and thought the facility as well as the caregivers and pts looked well taken care of!

THIS PLACE IS THE WORST! Not even one star, but it wouldn't let me submit without one. My mother in law has been dropped, not fed, dehydrated, misdiagnosed, and neglected. Nobody ever comes to let us know how she has been or is. A nurse came in and saw her sister feeding her and said, "oh, I didn't know you had to feed her?" Being her caretaker she should've known that. They have to be asked by her family at least 3 times before they come to help her with the bathroom. Her water is always warm. She has trouble with the button and they still don't check on her. The smell of feces when you walk in the front door is unbearable. I never thought I would ever see a real place like this. She has a cut on her arm from being dropped and it has a piece of plastic on it instead of cleaned and bandaged.
