Located in Claremont, N.H., the Claremont Department of Public Works is the custodian of the city's public works facilities. The department provides transportation systems, water and wastewater systems, waste disposal system and cemeteries. It also maintains and improves the public works' infrastructure in the City of Claremont. The Claremont Department of Public Works oversees numerous projects, including paving, engineering, construction and administration. The department operates and maintains city cemeteries and carries out interments in private cemetery. It maintains catch basins, side walks, manholes, pump stations, signs, water meters, water distribution system, storage tanks, reservoirs and dams. The Claremont Department of Public Works operates a transfer station. In addition, it oversees line painting for crosswalks, railroad crossings, stop bars and school zone lines.
