The School for Creative and Performing Arts, located in Cincinnati, is a public school that offers educational and extracurricular programs in arts and academics to students in grades kindergarten through 12. The school has a student strength of more than 900 students and offers subjects, such as set design and mathematics, drama and science, piano practice and social studies. All the courses of arts and academics are combined together to offer students comprehensive education where they can opt for careers that range from creative performance to professional business. Students use mathematics to measure and cut costume patterns in the sewing lab. Language arts fundamentals are used in scripts. The school is affiliated with the Cincinnati City School District.
