- Since May 2011 there are no major grocery stores serving North Fairount and Millvale:Food Pantry, on average, serving 200 families, 725 individuals including 370 children monthly. Angel Food Ministry A non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing food relief to communities throughout the United States. Participants order a pre-set assortment of fresh and frozen food items that are delivered monthly for distribution. Presentation Community Garden The Presentation community garden, named in honor the former Presentation community that shared St. Leo’s Church, allows participants to grow produce for their own use and that of the food pantry. Urban Garden The “Fresh Start” urban garden allows participants to earn an income while learning farming skills. The hope is that the “Fresh Start” farm will become a self sustaining business. English as a Second Language We currently teach English to Spanish- and Burundi-speaking students, but welcome all interested in learning English.Parish Nurse Ministry In collaboration with Tri-Health Hospitals, our parish region is proud to host three Parish Nurses, providing healthcare services to people in need in our neighborhoods. The primary purpose of the Parish Nurse Ministry is to serve those challenged by poverty.

We are a welcoming Catholic Community, grounded in Eucharistic prayer, celebrating our diversity and sharing God’s love through ministries of serving and being present in the struggling urban neighborhoods of North Fairmount, Millvale, Spring Grove Village, The Villages of Roll Hill and Winton Place while focusing on the corporal and spiritual works of mercy.
