Grippo's Snack Foods
General Info
Angelo Grippo founded Grippo s Snack Foods in 1919. Known then as the Grippo's Cone Company, it manufactured rolled sugar cones in a one-room office in Cincinnati. Grippo's added pretzels to their business and in 1923 began hand twisting and baking the traditional twist pretzel. In 1930, Grippo invented the loop pretzel and put into operation pretzel looping machines. In 1959, the company added potato chips to its product line. Today, Grippo's continues to bring fresh deliciously new snack foods to the market. Some of its items include barbeque potato chips, cheese and jalapeno chips, sweet Bermuda onion chips, pork rinds, onion rings, hot and spicy popcorn, a variety of pretzels and dips. Grippo's Snack Foods maintains a location in Cincinnati.

I like grippos plain, but why are the chips always look like they are burnt? Why do they not have the same look as say Lays potato chips.

The best chips in the world to me. I love'm. Im from Indianapolis, Ind and I never new there were different other products from grippo's like the bbq sauce or the seasoning.
The barbq. grippos are the best chips around hands down . I've been eating them for years now, and i will continue to buy them. we go threw 12 bags a month

I absolutely thank the grippos barbq are the best barbq chips. But I bought a bag today for lunch at work when opened the bag and tasted the first chip I thought I had a bag of regular chips usually there covered in barbq these looked like barbq chips but these were not coated like they usually are hope it was just this bag it would be a shame if they changed them and cut back on the coating after all these years of having the best .
