McMillin Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade six. Its facilities include a media center, auditorium, cafeteria, outdoor lunch court, YMCA child care center, nearly four portable classrooms and five main classrooms. The school offers academic programs in language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. McMillin Elementary School additionally offers the English Language Learners program. It has a media center that provides more than 10,000 books and other reference materials, as well as access to the Internet. The school s parent-teacher association supports a running club, field trips, art enrichment programs, Scholastic book fairs, spirit gear sales and fundraising activities, as well as school-wide literacy, tolerance, drug prevention and general education assemblies.
