Coal-Fired Complex is a thermal generation facility that produces hydroelectricity to major electricity suppliers of the regions. It is equipped with pollution control equipment. Coal-Fired Complex provides food and rest for migratory waterfowls. It is a part of Grand River Dam Authority, which was established in 1935. Grand River Dam Authority transmits and delivers wholesale electricity across 24 county service areas in Northeast Oklahoma. In addition, it sells electricity to municipals, electric cooperatives and industries. Grand River Dam Authority provides flood control and lake management services. It helps in meeting the biological, economic, social and political needs of local communities.
