Ranked as one of the top 15 convenience store distributors in the country, J. Polep Distribution Services is currently servicing more than 4,000 chain and independent retailers. Its client base comes from the six New England States and New York. It distributes such products as beverages, cigarettes, candy, coffee, groceries, hotdogs, produce and snacks. J. Polep Distribution has cash and carry distribution centers located in Chicopee, Worcester and Woburn, Mass., West Warwick, R. I., and Milford, Conn. In 2004, the company acquired distribution rights for Slush Puppie from Berkshire Foods. Originally known as Polep Tobacco Company, Charles Polep founded the company in 1898.
