Joy Signal Technology, established in 1987, designs, manufactures and delivers high performance, quality interconnects for the computer industry. Located in Chico, Calif., Joy Signal began by partnering with larger electronic assembly manufacturers in producing cable assemblies. By 1988 the company began independently developing its own products and markets, producing custom molded connectors. The company is focused on the automatic test equipment market, partnering with Meritic, a major name in the electronic interconnect market. Typical applications include production runs and engineering set ups for tester interfaces, back plane interconnects, high speed lines for pin electronic cards, data I or O and analog applications. The company serves the semiconductor market, but has customers in military, aerospace, medical and telecommunications markets.
