I have ordered materials from this place multiple times of the past few years. Every single time has been the same. There is a no non-sense air about doing business here. Deliveries are always on time or early. I believe that the materials received from Focal Point are exactly what i saw, ordered, and received. When I asked for their educated opinion, they gave it without fear or remorse. I will continue to do business with Focal Point as I believe they provide a much needed and appreciated business service in Chico.

This was a very unsatisfactory experience. I got the distinct impression that he was never in his office with records in front of him, he was never sure what his available inventory was, he wasn't certain when his deliveries could be made, etc. First off, his delivery was a week late. Second, he lost the delivery address and had to call for directions to a house clearly listed on any smartphone app. Third, when the soil arrived it was riddled with non natural waste materials. There was chucks of metal rods, bits of plastic that looked like pieces of feed bags, and large rocks. I filled 2 4x16ft garden beds with Focal Point "Garden Mix" on 5/2/14. It's now 6/21 and almost all my plants are dying. I've gone to the store an bought a 2nd round of plants to fill in the runts and the die offs. As soon as I plant them, the leaves start to turn yellow and die. I've grown all kinds of plants over the years and I know a nutrient imbalance/deficiency when I see it.
