General Info
Are you confused or overwhelmed with your child's behavior? Does your family appear to be collapsing? Maybe you've recently experienced a significant loss, traumatic event or a major transition. I can assist you with making positive changes and finding a sense of balance again. I place an emphasis on assessing the complex nature of a problem in order to understand what will work for you and your family. Treatment may involve talking, experiencing, practicing, adjusting environmental conditions and working with important others to enhance systemic change. We may use individual, family or group approaches. I work extensively with children, adolescents, and their families to improve overall functioning and happiness. My specialties are anxiety, depression, grief, impulse control problems, oppositional symptoms, developmental disorders, and the effects of trauma. I often collaborate with schools, pediatricians, psychologists, psychiatrists and other professionals to create a therapeutic environment. You will find me to be both direct and accommodating when working with you and or your family. Above all, I value a collaborative, respectful approach in which individuals and families can be empowered and involved in solving the issues that face them.
