General Info
Originally from Taiwan, Dr. Wika Gomez emigrated to the United States at the age of 12 with her family. She maintains a close connection with her place of birth and still speaks both Mandarin and Taiwanese fluently. Today she is proud to call the city of Chicago her home, and she loves the rich, diverse culture the city offers. Dr. Gomez graduated from the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science with her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine. She completed her residency at Hines VA/Loyola and Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Gomez is on staff at Advocate Illinois Masonic and participates in the training of podiatry residents. She is also board certified in foot surgery with American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Gomez joined Weil Foot & Ankle Institute in 2016 and is proud to offer its collective resources and advanced care to her existing and future patients. Aside from loving the practice of podiatry and helping her patients, Dr. Gomez has a fondness for the visual arts and dance. Her bachelor’s was in painting, and has experience as a fitness dance instructor.

Dr Gomez checked my foot, fitted a brace and the pain dropped from a 7 to a 3 immediately. Through the course of continuing treatment for the next few months, my chronic pain eased both in intensity and duration. I am walking much more and now also hopeful that my foot will continue to improve.

My mom had a foot injury that resulted in gangrene thanks to Dr Gomez's second opinion, my mom did not need to have her foot amputated. Dr Gomez helped to explain and develope a plan that helped heal and fully recover mom. Mom is happy and walking on her own now thanks to her recommended interventions. Very thankful to have found her.
