Weiss Memorial Hospital, founded in 1952, provides a range of health care services. The hospital serves customers throughout northern Chicago. It is a 357-bed facility and is owned and operated by Vanguard Health Systems, which operates a network of more than 15 acute care hospitals in Illinois, Arizona, Texas and California. Weiss has more than 400 physicians in over 26 medical specialties. The hospital specializes in cardiac rehabilitative, case management, respiratory and pastoral care, physician referral and volunteer services. It operates emergency, radiology and security departments and audiology, pain management and ambulatory surgery centers. Additionally, the hospital offers ophthalmology, podiatry, radiation oncology and cardiac care services. Weiss Memorial Hospital maintains one of its locations in Chicago.
