This is a great place to take the kids! The two gigantic hot dog (dawg!) characters on the roof give this place a very 50s feel. This is a real drive-in where you can sit in your car or use the dining room. It's really nice in the summer to use the outside tables but during the winter we usually use the car. My husband says the hot dogs here are authentic Chicago style. You get plenty of extra fries so we never leave hungry. Only down-side is they are a bit pricey. We sometimes bring our own drinks. But the food is delicious and worth the little extra it costs compared to other places.
These guys make a great Chicago-style hot "dawg." If you want authentic, it's gotta be Superdawg. And remember, Chicago dogs never have ketchup!Only drawback is they are expensive.
Love the drive in 50's feel. Polish on a poppy seed bun is the best.
This is a Chicago institution!Great all-beef hot dogs piled high with Chicago-style trimmings, car hops and muscle cars abound. Need I say more? You'll feel like you were transposed into a reel of "American Grafitti".
