It also offers child support enforcement services and administers the Office of Energy Assistance. With one of its offices in Chicago, the department also helps low-income families meet their home energy needs. The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services additionally manages the Office of Healthcare Purchasing, which is responsible for non-Medicaid procurement of health care services.
