Pilsen Community Academy focuses on the cultural, social and emotional development of children. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as reading, math, writing, science, social studies and art. The school also provides special education classes. Located in Chicago, Pilsen Community Academy features a gymnasium, library, computer laboratory and classrooms. It is managed by Chicago Public Schools, which provides a variety of academic programs and student development services. The district operates more than 480 elementary schools, over 115 high schools and nearly 50 charter educational facilities. It serves approximately 400,000 students and has more than 44,000 employees. Chicago Public Schools also operates various local school councils.
