PARTS DEPT VERY HELPFULL GREAT SERVICE KNEW WHAT WE NEEDED FAST
I have a Champion brand air compressor model RE-7 which was inherited upon my father's death. According to Gardner-Denver, it was made before 1955. It has been in storage with a bad motor-start capacitor for over 20 years. The compressor fired right up after swapping in a new start capacitor! My Sanborn gave up the ship after 3 years when I decided to do body repair and use a DA air tool! After a month, whenever the unloader tripped upon hitting 175 psi, the tank would bleed down entire 80 gals. rather than closing after a few seconds. Gene at Phillips correctly diagnosed over the phone, knew the compressor inside & out, and still has 99% of the parts in stock including valves! A little clean-up and Gene had my old Re-7 going again! How many compressors and people are still that productive after this many years? What a testament to Champion quality and Phillips quality of people- who we know to be the company rather than the hard assets. HIGHLY recommend Phillips & Gene-5 star
