Our absolute favorite Chinese restaurant! The place has been there for over 80 years and is owned by three families that have all been working together for generations. We have been going there since we found it when we were dating over 20 years ago. We have watched one generation grow grey and another bloom into wonderful adults. It is the place we go when we need comfort food or to celebrate a semi "special occasion". It is home style family Chinese cooking. They make everything from scratch and not a single thing is bought frozen and then heated and served. Our favorites are: POT STICKERS! You have to try the pot stickers. They are fat and juicy and solid with a combo of herbs and ground meat. They make them fresh every morning! COMBO FRIED RICE Eat it as a meal or use it to put your food over rather than plain white rice.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Chicago. It's one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago, Chinese or otherwise. The food is not swimming in sugary sauces, which is the cardinal and most committed sin related takeout Chinese food, in my opinion. The servers are extremely kind and always remember my wife and me. I love the old school atmosphere of the building and interior. More importantly, I love the food. It's better than anywhere else in the neighborhood doing Chinese food, and frankly, I prefer it over the places I have been to in Chinatown in Chicago and in many other cities around the country. If you live in the neighborhood, this ought to be your Chinese food spot. If you don't, it's worth the trip.

The food is great! The fried rice is delicious but the lo mein is a little dry and not that amazing. The lemon chicken and the bbq pork app is super good. It is heavier food so you only need a little to be full and the portions are big.

The food is great especially their Egg Drop Soup! I would not do delivery that is very expensive unless you don't mind paying a $5 delivery fee. Other than that they have very good fried rice, Mongolian Beef, Great egg rolls etc. Very old school inside the restaurant. I love Chinese food this is great for kids too.

This is my favorite restaurant in Chicago. If you are pretentious about your Chinese food you will not like it. If you like a place with a nice atmosphere, good food, and good prices, and aren't full of yourself, you'd probably like it.

You cant go wrong with Orange Garden. I find myself here three to four times a month. After discovering this place a few years ago, I do not find myself eating at many other Chinese restaurants. Very friendly, quick service. Pricing is very reasonable and portions are enough for two. The egg rolls are the best, especially with the hot sauce. Friends and I always get the Spicy shrimp fried rice with chicken chow mein Cantonese style. would most definitely recommend this place.
