General Info
About Lucky's Sandwich Lucky's was founded in 2004. It was named after the man who built Wrigley Field, Charles "Lucky Charlie" Weegham, whom was one of the founders of the Federal Baseball League. Lucky Charlie had made a fortune with his lunch counter businesses in Chicago. After the Federal league folded in 1915, he aquired a part ownership in the Chicago Cubs. He moved the team from its old wooden stadium, The West Side Park, to his more updated stadium on The North Side, which was called Weegham Park. The stadium as we all know still stands today as Wrigley Field, thanks in part to the 99 year lease that Lucky Charlie had acquired on the property. Over the years Lucky Charlie was forced to sell shares of his stock in the Chicago Cubs to chewing gum magnate William Wrigley Jr. By 1921 Lucky Charlie was not so lucky anymore and was completely out of the Chicago Cubs Organization. And over the years Weegham Park would be changed to Cubs Park and finally the more familiar Wrigley Field. No one really knows what ever happened to Lucky Charlie, but we're counting on this Lucky's to be around for a lot longer.
