Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago, also known as LAF, is a nonprofit organization that has been providing free legal solutions for more than 40 years. The organization has served more than 1,000 individuals and families in Cook County in Illinois. LAF provides advice to individuals on their legal rights and negotiates on behalf of clients. It also represents clients in various complex cases establishing legal precedents and works with government officials to improve public policies. Additionally, the organization works with community groups to provide solutions for a variety community problems and arranges community legal educational programs. Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago also offers financial support services and is located in Chicago.
