I recently moved into the neighborhood and needed a repair on a long Beaver coat. The work was completed ahead of schedule and the workmanship was superior. They put a backing where the skins were splitting; something that an Elmhurst, IL furrier did not do. I also had an excellent buying experience at Kleim Furs. He met my budget, as well as my needs.... THIS IS AN EXCELLENT AND REPUTABLE FURRIER.

Do not under any circumstances take any fur coat to Keim Fur. It is no longer Keim fur as we knew it. After 87 years that honest and talented furrier retired and sold his business to a New York outfit that has been called many un-savory names by folks whose fur coats were completely butchered! They do not stand for their workmanship. When I complained about some serious issues they saif it was in my head. When it was proven that it was a real problem the owner walked out and let one of his employee "fix" it. Since the sleeve had been cut and was shorter than my arm it was not easy. There is not enough space to name all that is wrong. Another furrier is taking the coat apart, putting back the skins that were cut, stretching them and putting the coat back together. The new bill will be around $1400.00 and it will take the whole month of february to do the work. Keim fur had the coat since June and I had to keep calling finally got it ruined in November. 0 stars out of five
