Hancock College Preparatory High School, located in Chicago, Ill., is a public school that offers educational and extracurricular programs to students in grades nine through 12. The school has an enrollment of more than 800 students and offers subjects, such as English, foreign language, mathematics, music, science, social studies, special education and physical education. It also has an art and bilingual department. The school has a medication administration policy that states that only those medications that are absolutely necessary for the critical health and well being of a student and to maintain the student, as determined by a physician, in school shall be administered during school hours. The school will contact a physician to determine if it is medically necessary to administer medication to the student during regular school hours and school related activities. The institution is affiliated to the City of Chicago School District 299.
