Housing Opportunities for Women, also known as HOW, serves homeless women and children. It is supported by the Chicago Department of Public Health, Chicago Department of Housing, Kraft Foods, Landau Family Fund, Little Angel Foundation, Lloyd A. Fry Foundation, McMaster-Carr Supply Company and Morse Charitable Trust. It is also funded by Nuveen Investments, The Owens Foundation and Packaging Corporation of America. Housing Opportunities for Women publishes regular newsletters that reports events and activities of the organization. It offers a range of case management, employment assistance, educational and health services. The organization also operates several community outreach programs. Housing Opportunities for Women has its administrative office in Chicago.
