- Primary CareIn 2005 Dr. Robert J. Strugala was recruited to join Midland Orthopedic Associates following completion of a Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. In 2008 Midland Orthopedic Associates recruited Dr. Telly Psaradellis to join the practice, bringing his expertise in orthopedic trauma surgery after completing an Orthopedic Trauma fellowship with Ortho Indy in Indianapolis.
- Emergency CareMidland Orthopedic Associates offers 24 hour on call services for emergencies involving our patients. To contact the on call physician regarding your emergency call our office and you will be connected to an operator who can page the on call physician. Office appointments cannot be made and medications cannot be prescribed after hours. For life threatening emergencies go to your nearest emergency room or call 911.
- Internal MedicineA Chicago native, Dr. Strugala attended Nazareth Academy High School in LaGrange Park and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He then received his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. Dr. Strugala completed an internal medicine residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and a sports medicine fellowship at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
- Carpal Tunnel SyndromeWork-related injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, and other traumatic or chronic injuries. Dr. Heller performs a variety of upper extremity surgeries for disorders involving bones, tendons, nerves, ligaments, and blood vessels. He performs shoulder arthroscopy, including arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and ligament repairs. He also performs wrist and elbow arthroscopy.

- ArthroscopyOne example of when arthroscopy would be used is if the doctor suspects an ACL tear. These occur when there is a severe injury to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) – which connects the upper and lower leg bones. People can tear their ACL if they pivot their leg too fast and strongly or if they land on their leg with too much force after jumping.

- Joint ReplacementDr. Psaradellis is a board certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in the operative and non-operative treatment of fractures and other traumatic injuries to the musculoskeletal system. He treats fractures of the pelvis, acetabulum (hip socket), and intra-articular fractures (those involving joints such as the shoulder, elbow, knee, or ankle). He also treats complications arising from traumatic injuries, such as non-unions (fractures that have failed to heal) and mal-unions (fractures that have healed incorrectly). In addition, he also specializes in joint replacement procedures of the hip and knee.
- Hand SurgeryDr. Heller has been in practice in Chicago since 1998. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Hand Surgery. In his spare time, Dr. Heller enjoys cycling, fly fishing, and spending time with his wife and three daughters.
- Orthopedic SurgeryA native of the Chicago area, Dr. Psaradellis obtained his bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and his medical degree from the University of Illinois, graduating with honors from both institutions. He completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and an orthopedic trauma fellowship with OrthoIndy in Indianapolis. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Our therapists work closely with their patients to restore mobility, improve function, and relieve pain. We recognize the demands that therapy can place on a busy patient, so whenever possible we will actively promote a home exercise program.

- Manual TherapyMidland Orthopedic Associates offers occupational therapy services at our Wabash and Hometown offices. Our certified hand therapists provide comprehensive therapy to surgical and non-surgical patients recovering from hand and elbow injuries, pain, loss of mobility, and weakness. Their goal is to help patients return to full function as required for daily activities, including job functions. Our therapists customize a treatment plan based on the individual needs of the patient and the specific injury. Treatments offered include range of motion exercises, joint mobilization, thermal and electrical modalities, strengthening, as well as the fabrication of static and dynamic splints.
- Orthotics and Prosthetic TherapySalvino is trained in all aspects of foot and ankle care and has a special interest in sports related injuries, trauma and fractures, achilles tendon disorders, acute and chronic ankle sprains, bunion correction, heel pain, flat foot correction, and orthotic therapy.
- General PodiatrySalvino completed a three-year surgical residency at Illinois Advocate Masonic in Chicago, IL. He received his Doctorate degree in Podiatric Medicine from Rosalind Franklin University.
