• Cockroaches
  Although there are over 3,500 known species of cockroaches, only a small handful are known to be structural pests. The three most common cockroaches in the Chicago area are the American, German, and Oriental varieties. In addition to contaminating food and transmitting disease (hepatitis, typhus, parasitic toxoplasmosis), cockroaches are also a potential source of allergens for people. Those with asthma appear to be particularly at risk, with high percentages of asthmatic people also testing positive for cockroach allergen sensitivity. Cockroach allergens come from several sources like saliva, fecal material, secretions, cast skins, debris, and dead insects.
• Bees
  1. Limit Sweet Beverages While Outdoors – Bees are attracted to the sugar in sweet beverages so inspect cans and straws before drinking out of them.
• Wasps
  The paper wasp gives other paper wasp species a bad wrap. They are much more aggressive than other species. paper wasps have black and yellow coloration and look a lot like Yellowjackets. Paper wasps, however, have longer legs. These pests build open comb nests in fences, sign posts, exterior light fixtures, playground equipment, and window frames.
• Ticks
  Use of pesticides can reduce the number of ticks in treated areas of your yard. However, you should not rely on spraying to reduce your risk of infection.
• Mosquitoes
  Our approach to mosquito control focuses on treating the resting and breeding sites to reduce local activity. Initially, we perform a full inspection of the property’s exterior, to determine what specific areas will benefit the most from treatment. Our method consists of treating both adult mosquitos on vegetation and treating larvae in standing water areas. Each treatment will help keep local mosquito populations down for approximately 30 days, depending on weather conditions.
• Flies
  Flies are a symptomatic pest. Which means that their presence is an indication of other issues that may need to be corrected to remediate the issue in the structure.
• Centipedes
  Had ants and centipedes in the basement. Ant traps were not working very well. Called and Advanced Maintenance and Pest Solutions came out the same day. Performed services quickly and I am pleased with the results. Will definetly call on them again.
• Beetles
  Matthew & Erik were able to come out and treated our home just a few days after I first found and called about carpet beetles located in our basement. They called the day of the appointment to let me know they were on their way, and showed up right on time. They answered every one of my questions about carpet beetles, were very knowledgeable, and gave me good suggestions for keeping them from spreading further. The treatment was fast and barely noticeable afterward. I would have them back for any future pest problems without a doubt.
• Hornets
  Bald-faced hornets not aggressive unless their is a territorial threat to the hive. If you study an active bald-faced hornet hive, you will see that there are workers that guard the entrance. If you stare at the entrance hole there will be at least one worker that is staring right back.
• Moths
• Stinging Insects
  Yellowjackets are very aggressive stinging insects when they are provoked or threatened. They also can sting multiple times. Loud vibrations or noises will provoke a Yellowjacket as will disturbing their nest.
• Boxelder Bugs
  During certain times of the year boxelder bugs cluster together in large groups while sunning themselves on warm surfaces near their host tree. Large numbers are often seen congregating on houses seeking an entry point. Once they have gained access, they remain inactive behind siding and inside of walls while the weather is cool. Once the home's heating system becomes active for the season, the insects may falsely perceive it to be springtime and enter inhabited parts of the home in search of food and water. Once inside inhabited areas of a home, their excreta may stain upholstery, carpets, drapes, and they may feed on certain types of house plants.

  The Common Starling, known as the European Starling, is a medium-sized bird with glossy black plumage, that is speckled with white some times during the year. The legs are pink and the bill is black in winter and yellow in summer. Large flocks that are common in this species can be beneficial to agriculture through consumption of invertebrate pests. However, starlings can also be pests when they feed on fruit and growing crops. In urban areas, starlings are a nuisance through the noise, mess, and parasites associated with their large roosts.
• Pigeons
  Pigeons are perhaps the most common nuisance bird in the Chicago area. Pigeons typically cause issues because of the mess they make. They tend to congregate in the same locations and leave huge piles of fecal deposits behind. The fecal matter presents a serious health hazard and should be avoided. Pigeons like to nest on window sills, chimneys, gutters, scuppers, and decks just to name a few. Once nested, pigeons are notoriously difficult to deter. Rodent Control

• Rodents
  I've had these guys out a few times and they are wonderful. The first do an initial assessment of the property to check for pest issues (mine were in the garage, but they looked at everything). They know their rodents and exactly what needs to be done to eliminate the issue. I am fairly squeemish about rodents and they saved me from having to look at or deal with any of it. After a few follow up visits to refill the traps, the rat problem is eliminated. I wouldn't hesitate to call on them again.
• Mice

  The entire neighborhood was going through a rat infestation after construction work in the neighborhood. The City of Evanston at first was non responsive due to some bad ordinance where they would not handle condominiums...they have since changed that ordinance. We hired this company based on online reviews and a phone conversation where they explained their process. They came, sold us several rat baiting stations and included traps within them. They even added their special long acting poison for the two additional traps that we had. They explained clearly how rats respond to rodenticides.
