She worked at the Heitner Corporation prior to Smith Moore, but her love of numbers started at an early age as her father was an accountant for International Shoe Company. Mary is responsible for the processes that surround account transfers, legal transfers, cost basis, and mutual fund direct business in her role as a Senior Operations Associate.

She has worked in a wide range of industries, including her family’s restaurant business and leading operational teams, but she has especially enjoyed working in the financial industry over the past 20 years. She enjoys partnering with other professionals at Smith Moore and helping keep the firm organized.

- Retirement PlanningDoug graduated from Illinois State University with BS in Business Marketing and later earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ designation. He lives in Effingham, Illinois, with his wife, Michelle, and their two sons, Nathan and Ryan. Doug enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, pickleball, and cards when outside the office.
