Based in Chester, Conn., Chester Fire Department comprises three fire companies and provides services in the Chester, New York Community within the Chester Fire District. It protects and conserves the lives and properties of the general public within the boundaries of the Chester Fire District and respond to calls for assistance within the Orange County Mutual Aid system. The department s duties include fire suppression, search and rescue, accident victim extrication and fire prevention education. Chester Fire Department is a member of the Orange County Mutual Aid System, along with Goshen Fire Department and Campbell Hall Fire Department.
