Rula Eyecare offers thorough and professional eye exams, accurate prescriptions, comfortable and effective contact lenses, and comprehensive eye health evaluations and treatments for you and your family in a welcoming atmosphere. Dr. Andrew Rula, O.D. graduated from James Madison University in Virginia, then went on to receive his doctorate at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. He grew up in Hampton Roads and was happy to return to his home region to work as an Independent Doctor of Optometry next to Sears Optical. Dr. Andrew Rula, O.D. provides comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens exams and prescriptions, and eye health evaluations for the whole family. We fit multiple types of contact lenses, including multifocal and monovision contacts, allowing great vision without the need for reading glasses in most cases. "Breathable" and extended wear contacts, color contacts, and disposable contacts lens fittings are available. Sears Optical, directly adjacent to our office, and their fine staff will be happy to help you choose from a wide array of fine glasses frames, lenses and sunglasses at very reasonable prices. Dr. Rula can provide contact lens fittings for many types and brands of contacts, including: Acuvue Oasys, Acuvue Advance with Hydraclear. Daily contact lenses, including Ciba Dailies and Acuvue Dailies. Color contact lenses including FreshLook colors & Acuvue colors. Purevision (Bausch & Lomb), Purevision Toric, and Multifocaland Purevision 2 HD lenses. Coopervision lenses including Biofinity, Biofinity Toric, Cooper Biomedics XC and EP lenses, and others Ciba Vision including Air Optix, Air Optix Night&Day, Air Optix Multifocal, and other Extended Wear contacts. Astigmatism contacts (Toric)...and many more. Dr. Rula is board certified and TMOD certified in the treatment and management of certain ocular diseases such as conjunctivitis (eye infections or red eyes), ocular inflammation, contact-lens-related disorders, ocular surface disease such as dry eye syndrome and ocular allergies, cataract diagnosis and surgical comanagement, macular degeneration diagnosis, comanagement of LASIK/refractive surgeries, glaucoma, and many other eye disorders.
