• Pediatric Care
  "Because of this whole-person approach to medicine, approximately 60 percent of all D.O.s choose to practice in the primary care disciplines of family practice, general internal medicine and pediatrics. Approximately 40 percent of all D.O.s go on to specialize in a wide range of practice areas. If the medical specialty exists, you will find D.O.s there."
• Primary Care
  With our policy and your child is not vaccinated or is currently under vaccinated please bring them in as soon as possible to update vaccines. If you disagree with our policy, please arrange for your child’s care with another primary care physician; this can be found by contacting your insurance company or online in the local yellow pages. We will only cover care for your child 60 days from the effective date.
• Family Practice
  Dr. Piccioni has been the sole owner of Tidewater Family Medical Care since its opening in 1991. Upon completion of his residency program and after much research, Dr. Piccioni and his wife, Joye, decided to relocate their family from New Jersey to Virginia Beach to open a private Family Practice.
• Emergency Care
  You should call our office and receive directions on how to access a physician. A physician is always available, twenty-four hours per day, seven days a week. For emergent issues that cannot wait until the next business day, we strongly encourage you to contact our on call physician prior to making any medical decisions or being seen at a local urgent care center. You will always receive clear instructions on what to do and where to go.
• Immunizations
  Please be advised that Tidewater Family Medical Care has reviewed and updated our company policies. We will no longer care for pediatric patients and young adults whose parent/legal guardian refuse basic vaccinations as recommended by the CDC, American Academy of Pediatrics and American Academy of Family Practice.
