I tried to get an MRI of my brain I went somewhere else for open MRI. I couldn't do it. I felt like I was coffin death trap. Then I went to Upright MRI of Cherry Hill . It was wonderful. Nothing in front of your face. Just walls close to your side. You sit up and watch TV. Nancy was my tech and she was wonderful. Would HIGHLY recommend

My first time proved ok . Compared to others it was a lot less confining and more open. However I was surrounded with the magnetic borders, and sitting up with my foot flexed for over a 1/2 hr. I'd would have rather lying down then I could fall asleep! Also It would help if the tech talked to me at various times during the procedure letting me know the progress and how much longer or how long the next banging would be. Otherwise not too bad. The noise was maddening!!!

I was totally unimpressed with this facility. I went in a approx a week before I had a scan that would involve enclosing my head to see if I could handle this as I am claustrophobic. However, when I went to have the test they told me that I had to have blocks put inside the unit that was enclosing my head to stablilize my head. I could not handle this because of my claustrophobia. This fact was not explained to me when I went earlier and if I had been I would have been either more prepared to handle it as best as I could or I would have had to cancel the test. The tech was also short with me because I was not heavily sedated (I had to drive myself--we all do not have people that can help us). The reading of my films was hindered by the fact that I moved during the test and I blame 90% of this on this facility and I would not recommend it to anyone.
