As a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of New Jersey, my primary function is to serve as a consultant and ally in helping clients identify and reach their treatment goals. During my doctoral training I specialized in working with children, adolescents, and families across a variety of systems. This range of experiences has allowed me many opportunities to work with exceptional families, many of whom were entering treatment for the first time. In my work I aim to build strong connections with community stakeholders including school staff, doctors, and members of faith communities to enact meaningful change for clients of all ages. I currently lead individual, group, and family sessions with children, teens, and adults. Typical presenting problems for the clients I serve include depression, anxiety, difficulties in important relationships, attention problems, and disruptive behaviors. When working with clients, I often use an approach called Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. CBT is a short-term treatment program which explores thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and their impact on well-being and interpersonal success. I also draw upon strategies from Functional Analytic Psychotherapy in my work. FAP is a unique treatment which emphasizes and draws on the relationships I build with clients through our work together. Both of these treatments are supported by extensive research, and allow my clients and me to honor their individual, family, and cultural values
