Cheraw Intermediate School has an academic enrollment of more than 600 students and a staff of over 50 teachers and nearly 20 support staff members. It is operated by the Chesterfield County School District and provides educational classes to students in grades three through five. The school has a media center that offers a variety of computerized research databases, circulation, online catalog, Internet access, electronic encyclopedias and more than 20,000 volumes to students. It provides special education classes for the learning disabled, visually and hearing impaired and mentally disabled students. The school s academic curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies, language arts, music, computer technology, and health and physical education. Cheraw Intermediate School is accredited by the South Carolina Department of Education and is located in Cheraw, S.C.
