They charged us 100 dollars for a diagnostic that apparently indicated that two of the pistons needed to be replaced and the heads needed to be resurfaced? We took it to another mechanic and he did a diagnostic and said the car needed new sparkplugs. Nothing was wrong with the engine. Faulty diagnostic system or fraud? Given the annoyance of the owners son when we took the car back Im leaning towards fraud.

Car shops are always a bit of a question to me. Repairs are expensive and trusting the mechanics to not rake you over or "adjust" something so you have to come in again are always on my mind. Two things you should always do: 1) ask how much time the repair will take, 2) find out their hourly charge. Now go online and find out how long the stated repair should take. Now you know the cost less the parts. That being said I've had a few expensive repairs. Each time the problem has been solved and the labor cost has been reasonable. In the last instance I had a few problems occurring. They found a problem, gave me the quote for repairs and did the work. The repair took care of one of the problems. The other problem they said could be any number of things. Instead of trying to "fix" the problem they recommended I simply try an easy fix first (still would have cost $300 for them to do). Did the work myself, problem solved. Respectable advice.

I have been in to the shop multiple times and have always been satisfied. From checking a car that I thought about purchasing to my alignments, I have always paid a fair price and gotten what I asked for.

I had my car worked on there last week. They went out of their way to track down hard to find parts for my car. Everyone I talked to was nice and very helpful. I would recommend them to anyone and will definitely be going back next time my car needs work.

I am an elderly woman who needed some minor repair on my car. I no longer have a husband who takes care of my car repairs. Cheney auto care seemed disrespectful to me...possibly because I am an elderly woman (82). I didn't appreciate the tempered owner who didn't talk to me respectively about my car and the repairs I needed. I have been a Cheney resident my entire life. I would not recommend Cheney Auto Care for any repairs, being minor or major work needed. Thank you for making me feel like I was the older woman that was stupid and didn't know how to be treated. I took my car in for some minor repair. I was treated with major dis-respect. I don't know if the owner has a thing against women or what, but I felt like a total stupid person by the time I had left there. I will never go there again or advise any of my friends (who all live in Cheney) to go there.I took my car somewhere else, was treated with respect and I got my car fixed! Figure that!

Without going into details, on 2 different occassions with 2 different vehicles, I was told that they had made the repairs that I needed done, when in fact they didn't fix the problems. After making payment over the phone (before picking up the car after business hours), they wouldn't refund me any portion of any of the work that didn't fix anything. Basically, I paid over $300 for them to tell me what was wrong with my car without fixing a thing. I won't be going back and i won't reccommend their service to anyone.

This was the worst service I have ever received. They charged me to check my transmission which they later told me they did not take care of. They drained the transmission fluid and didn't put it back it nor did they put the pan back on. I would not recommend taking your car here. In telling others my story I have heard many other bad things as well.

A friends alternator was possibly on the fritz so I sent her in to get it tested while I was out of town. The shop recommended it to be replace for the fee of ~$450. I followed up by getting their breakdown which was questionable. We did not have the work done and I came back to see that the contacts were corroded on the battery. I cleaned it up had the alternator tested on my own and found that it put out full amperage. I will not be returning for service or recommending this business to others. Customer service and honesty should be stressed during these current economic times.

A few days ago my girlfriend was lied to over the phone about the price to have her car checked out by this business. The quote was zero dollars which ended up being $81.00. When we asked for the owner to discuss this issue he reluctantly came out to talk to us and was rude throughout the entire conversation. He talked over us and acted very unprofessionally. He made my girlfriend cry then mockingly looked at her and said "why are you even crying". I witnessed the entire event. We are enraged about this. No one should ever under any circumstances go to this company for service.
